How do I find out Louisiana's statute of limitations regarding estate recovery? My father was a recipient of medicaid in the nursing home. He passed away on 8/18/2014. My mother received full possession of their home in my father's succession. She sold the home on 8/22/16 in the hopes of using the funds for assisted living. She passed away on 8/24/16.

Today, I received a letter from La. Medicaid stating we owe reduced amount for my father's care paid by Medicaid! I cannot find any info on LA.statute of limitations regarding medicaid estate recovery!
